Going to The Dark Side

Call it a BloodRush to the head. Call it Troppo Madness. Call it what you will....but the faithful and mighty "Endurance Of The South" is now For Sale. "Shame!" I hear you say. "Sacrilege!" I feel like a traitor to the cause of Monohullism.
But it's true....she's on the market, or will be, once the pics are published on the Boat Sales websites.

So what's brought this on? Nope, we're not packing it all in to water the rose bushes just yet. We're....errr.....expanding, you could say. In just a few short weeks we'll be the new owners of a luxury Lagoon 440 Catamaran, currently named "Nestasea",  and right now she's comfortably swinging on a mooring at Southport on the Gold Coast. But more on that later....once we actually own her....but here's a pic for the moment to get you thinking. We'd kinda like to rename her something more appropriate. If anybody out there can think of the purr-fect name for a big Cat, let us know. The winner gets the prize of a cold champagne served on the Bridge deck.......

Congratulations Grant and Mary! Proud owners of a white tennis court sized luxury apartment. Excellent! If you bring her to RGYC the cat fleet will be into double figures.

Welcome to the Cat Crew, I'm anchored off Paradise Point on my new to me cat"Wataeva" 'til Wednesday. Are you aboard? I also have a "previous" mono still for sale and is going into storage while I do An Anzac road trip to Albany for 2 months. Hope we can catch up.

Wow great looking craft. Not that EOTS was shabby, just love the look / idea / practicality of cats.
Sailed on Randy Walsh's Seawind XL and was amazed at the slippery on the water feel rather than in water of a keel boat.
Where are you heading now? Pacific or Asia.

    Grant the
    bloggist.

I'm writing this blog primarily so that I can remember what we've done....it doesn't take long for all of these experiences to melt together and become confused in memory.
It's also a great way of keeping in touch with others, and if I can entertain, and/or enlighten someone else, it's a bonus.
The archives go back to the beginning of our adventures since sailing out of Geelong.
