It was off to Mornington in very light wind, but a good chance to practice some of those newfound navigation and pilotage skills. And Mornington was a delight, pumping up the dinghy and launching her for the trip into shore from our calm anchorage in the middle of the bay. Crystal clear water, beautiful surroundings, why haven't I ever been here before?
The next day it was back to Melbourne and the journey up the Yarra to Docklands. Champagne lunch aboard with Dixie and Roy from Adelaide, then Crosby, Stills and Nash at the Palais, and then finally, the trip home to Geelong and the final settlement on the sale of the business.
So it was a great week, more about pilotage and navigation than sailing, but great experience and we both felt pretty comfortable after seven or eight nights on board.
